Now known as Fleay’s Café & Events the casual café within much loved David Fleay Wildlife Park has received a recent renovation and is under new management.
The upgrade to the café formed part of a $455,000 investment by the Department of Environment and Science (DES) for renovations to the wildlife park, including an upgraded croc facility.
Fleay’s Café & Events is managed and operated by Cuisine on Cue, a leading and long-standing south-east Queensland catering company, established in 1995. With teams in Brisbane and Burleigh Heads, Cuisine on Cue services the wider Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Scenic Rim regions, delivering high-quality catering and event experiences.
Passionate about wildlife and nature, Cuisine on Cue work alongside Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services at the Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre in The Gap Brisbane where they operate the Walkabout Creek Café & Events Centre.
Fleay’s Café is a great addition to the wildlife park and will support local jobs and expand community use of the park through private events outside of normal park opening hours.
Fleays Café will be open from 9am – 2pm daily offering casual dining and the ideal place to relax and recharge for those exploring the wildlife park.
The café will also be available outside of these hours to hire for events offering a unique outdoor event venue amid a natural setting. Specialising in corporate events, children’s parties, private celebrations, and weddings the team at Fleay’s Café & Events offer full-service event planning and catering.
The team is very excited to begin operating at David Fleay Wildlife Park and working with the parks team on-site and the local Gold Coast community.
Stop by and enjoy a unique location to relax for a meal and coffee while viewing some of Queensland’s elusive native wildlife.
