At Fleays, your child’s birthday happens inside David Fleay Wildlife Park, a rainforest sanctuary in the heart of Burleigh Heads. There is a real Queensland Parks and Wildlife Ranger, native animals to meet up close, and a setting your child’s friends have never seen at a party before.
Everything is handled in house. Our own kitchen does the food, our own team does the setup and the pack down, and a dedicated events team is there to help you plan the day.

Because your party is inside a working wildlife park, the kids can get up close and personal with some soft and scaly visitors, and learn about the job of a Queensland Parks and Wildlife Ranger. It is fun, interactive, and suitable for children of all ages, so it works whether you are planning a first birthday or a tenth.

Prices are for up to 10 guests. Additional guests $10.35 each for encounters and $11.60 each for ranger tours. Minimum 10 people. Encounters and tours run between park opening hours of 9am to 4pm, subject to the daily park schedule and availability.

Fleays Dining Room
Seamlessly combined with the Treetop Terrace, this is our biggest space, offering an ideal setting for larger events. A beautiful blend of indoor comfort and outdoor charm, with ample room for all your guests.
Treetop Terrace
An undercover, semi enclosed space with beautiful views of the treetops and elegant timber features. Accommodates both seated and standing events, and combines with the Dining Room for a spacious celebration.
Garden Lawn
An alfresco oasis surrounded by nature. This enclosed space is ideal for groups, especially those with young children, ensuring a safe and charming environment for a memorable celebration.
Rainforest Room
Tailored for intimate kids birthday gatherings. A private dining experience amidst rainforest-themed wallpaper and elegant timber flooring, complete with a projector, sound system and WiFi.

A 20% administration fee and a signed booking form secure your date. Weekend dates book out early.
We run the party
Your events team handles the setup, the catering and the animal encounter. You turn up and enjoy the day with your child.
Questions we get asked
The wildlife encounter is fun, interactive and suitable for children of all ages, from toddlers to teens. Our ranger tailors the experience to the group, so it works just as well for a first birthday as it does for an older child’s party.
Encounters and ranger tours run between park opening hours of 9am to 4pm, subject to the daily park schedule and availability, so it pays to book it in alongside your party enquiry rather than leaving it until closer to the date. Prices are $103.50 for an animal encounter and $116 for a one hour guided ranger tour, both for up to 10 guests, with a minimum of 10 people.
The Treetop Terrace is undercover and semi enclosed, and the Fleays Dining Room and Rainforest Room are both fully indoors, so you have wet weather cover built in if you choose one of those spaces. If you have booked the Garden Lawn, speak to our events team about moving indoors for the day.
Yes. Our in-house kitchen puts together age-appropriate catering for the children as well as options for the parents and other adults attending, all cooked on site by our own team. Tell us your guest mix and dietary needs and we will build a menu to suit.
It depends on the space. The Rainforest Room holds up to 20 guests, the Garden Lawn seats 50 (70 standing), and the Treetop Terrace seats 60 (80 standing). Combining the Fleays Dining Room with the Terrace takes you up to 120 seated or 180 standing, our largest configuration.
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own decorations, cake and entertainer and set up yourself, and every space includes a cake table and gift table. Speak to your events coordinator beforehand so we can plan the setup and access.
We require a non-refundable 20% administration fee along with a signed booking form. We are happy to monitor a date for you while you decide, but a date cannot be guaranteed until the payment and signed contract are in. Weekend dates fill quickly, so it pays to move early.
All parking is complimentary, with roughly 100 spaces on site. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible with accessible parking available. Let our team know if any of your guests have accessibility needs and we will recommend the best space.
